Some love stories are tested by life’s hardest moments—and only grow stronger because of them. ❤️
Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan first met when Tracy was cast as his girlfriend on the hit 1980s sitcom Family Ties. What started on screen became real life when they married in 1988.
Together, they built a family with four children—three daughters and one son.
In 1991, at just 29 years old, Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a life-changing moment that could have shaken any family. But according to Fox, when he shared the news with Tracy, she didn’t blink. She stood by him with unwavering love and support.
Rather than letting the diagnosis define their future, they turned it into a mission to help others.
In 2000, they established The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Since then, it has grown into the world’s largest nonprofit funder of Parkinson’s drug development, giving hope to millions of people affected by the disease.
Their story is a reminder that true partnership isn’t just about sharing the good times. It’s about facing life’s greatest challenges side by side—and choosing love, strength, and purpose every step of the way.
